GO SEE MAMMA MIA!

I saw Mamma Mia! last night and it is amazing! A great, classic musical with a "Greek" chorus, dancing boys and girls, gorgeous scenery and super strong performances. Meryl Streep reminds us why she wins so many awards.

I've never seen the show, actually kinda avoided it, but it's a strong book that actually does put together a story with the Abba catalog.

Great summer fluff!!!!

I'm typically not a musical gay. Evita, Jesus Christ Superstar, and West Side Story, that's it for me. Probably why I haven't seen the stage show. And I'm not a Uber-Abba gay, either. I love love love "The Winner Takes It All", but the rest of the hits I don't really care much about. Still, I loved the movie. It's definitely too super faggotty for you, though. Flashy, sparkly, flamboyantly, limp-wristedly, fiercely, unashamedly over-the-top faggotty gay gay ghey!!!

And the screening I saw -- at Outfest -- phew! the homos cheered for the Universal logo at the opening, I swear. A sing-a-long, riotously great time. smile

The women I work with are SO EXCITED to see Mamma Mia!

We were all going to go see it opening night, but I'll be on vacation so they'll be going without me. giggle

I don't know if I'll go see it in theater, but I'll definately get the dvd.

I'm actually SUPER excited excited about "Breaking Dawn" coming out on August 2nd and I'm the only one of my coworkers who have preordered it.

I've got my priorities in order, though. I'm going to see Dark Knight on opening day in imax and then Mamma Mia on Sunday. I'm not a total fag.

I like SOME. You know, Sound Of Music and Mary Poppins, but that is more cuz of Julie Andrews...

And as a little kid I was a HUGE ABBA fan. Don't tell anyone, it would ruin my rep.

I saw the stage show (on a date so I couldn't walk out) and I was crawling out of my skin. ill It was very uncomfortable. Cheese Fest! ill

I don't mind ABBA music but the whole concept of the play was reductio ad absurdum.

But Benny and Bjorn supervised the recording and even some of the musicians were the original ones neutral

Me and my good friend were hanging around the front of the cinema (waiting for a scene from sodanation's video shoot to finish in the alleyway around the corner smile ) and the soudtrack was playing and we were bored so we put a hat on the ground and danced to many of the songs. I really did not like the Abba covers mad but a busload of kids loved our dancing!! love

I was thinking of taking my niece to this since she likes musicals. Would this be appropriate for an almost 12 year old?
