I've never been married before but I've dated men outside of my race and if the relationship that I'm in goes south, I'll do it again.
I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

Shoot, layaway was the bomb! lol I woulda never got school clothes if it wasn't for layaway. My mother would put tons of clothes on layaway at the beginning of summer, then right before school started would get price adjustments for all the stuff that went on sale at the end of the summer. lol

word? ...i never said i couldnt have sex with someone outside of my race but i do (for obvious reasons) question how well a relationship would play out...

but in the end, i know love conquers all

I don't know if love conquers all or not, but I do know that for me everything starts with physical attraction. If I'm not physically attracted to someone there's no chance that I'll want to have sex with them, regardless of color. Therefore, there's zero opportunity of it becoming a relationship. Besides, I'm not the type of black woman most American white males are gonna find truly attractive, which is fine. So it's not like I've had lots of opportunity to go there anyway. Now, they might try to hit it, but venturing into a real "relationship" with me, no, I don't think so. Again, that's cool.

On the other hand, I'm intensely attracted to the black male form, the blacker, the better. And when a black man tells me he's attracted to me I believe that, much moreso than if a white guy says it. Shit, I don't even like pale feet on a brotha. lol So for me there are various reasons (physical attraction, cultural differences) why I wouldn't seriously consider being in a relationship with someone that wasn't black or at least hispanic. shrug

eek Oooooohhh, Lawd NO. Yella feet with blue veins. shake ill Yes, socks are a MUST and keep them mugs on your side of the bed. lol

Black women, especially dark skinned black women, are not viewed as a standard of beauty anywhere. Even in our own communities. I'm obviously black, with obviously black features, not mixed, biracial, or exotic looking, not skinny, got a big booty, don't have an aquiline nose, etc. (I DO, however, have long wavy hair. wink )

I find that a lot of guys that will date black women only go for women who don't look "too black." It's more acceptable if she's mixed with curly hair than if she looks like Venus or Serena Williams. Shit, a lot of brothas don't view me as their ideal "type." So I'm sure there are even fewer non-black dudes that have an affinity for black women with definite African features. Again, it's all good cuz when a black man seeks me out and approaches me I know it's because he likes what he sees and I don't have to be concerned about living up to his expectations. And IMO before you can have a relationship that leads to marriage it begins with mutual physical attraction. cool
