My husband and I have been married forever and we are the same race (latino) I have no problem at all had I been in love with someone out of my race. But being with someone from the same culture is very helpful in my case, at all family gatherings the extended family speaks a mix of spanish and english, we understand the goofy beliefs of each other's abuelas, we are both catholic, our food likes are the same, we understand all those urban myths we latinos are so fond of..etc. I think in my case it just makes us more compatible. But hot damn if I do not have a rooving eye for a hot african/american!  | |
