I LOVED LOVED LOVED IT! Imago and Carrie told me to see it.

He told me to see it too, but I refused. We Austrians coudn't care less about that movie.
But good for you that you liked it thumbs up!.

You'll love it!!!!

It's got a whole bunch of good music, great depth of characters, good acting, and it's very high on the 'cute' factor.

All those cute kids who look like Michael Jackson's children singing and dancing to Rogers and Hammerstein. giggle

Should Edelweiss be the German anthom as well as the Austrian anthem?

Should Bavaria declair itself independent of the rest of Germany and charge a tax for any other Germans entering the area?

Should Germany apologize for extending David Hassellhoff's career long after it should have expired?

I sooooo want to photoshop your face over Julie Andrew's in the scene where she's on the hill, spinning, in Austria. (I know, horrible run-on sentence)

Is German just a really really butch version of Austria?

What's the sushi like in Kaiserslaughtern?

Did Germany really try to put David Hassellhoff's face on the Euro?

Are there any good hip hop acts in the 'Dirty South Bavarian' region?

Should Austria charge tax for any Germans (including Bavarians) entering Austria?

I know that you're from Vienna, but what is funny is that you always seem to ignore the fact that the roots of a large part of your country are almost culturally inseperable from the roots of a large part of Germany (Bavaria). I know, the Austrians in this part don't want to be identified with the Bavarians and maybe vice versa it's the same, still it's undeniable. How do you feel about this part of your countrymen?

Austrians and Bavarians do like each other and feel connected in some ways. Austrian actors, movies and comedians are well liked in Bavaria and vice versa. The Bavarian TV series "Der Bulle Von Tölz" is one of the most popular TV series in Austria and is a lot more successful than in Germany and "Der Schuh Des Manitu" (a Bavarian movie) is the most successful movie in Austria of all time.
When I visited Berlin for the first time people thought I was Bavarian because of my accent. When I am in Bavaria it reminds me a lot of Austria, there are many more things they share with Austrians than with other parts of Germany IMO.

Aksel, you know you've just found a new friend for life! When ya comin' over for a beer?

You live near one of the most beautiful sailing-venues in the world: the Bay!
I grew up in a family of yachtsmen, so it was only natural that I stepped into sailing as well. I participated in high-profile yachting until I was 32, after that I decided to step down from it. It was just too time consuming, and I wanted to do loads of other stuff as well.
My father, an inspired yachtsman himself, made his career in the industry, founding one of the top sailcloth-suppliers in the world over 22 years ago: Contender Sailcloth (http://www.contendersailcloth.com). We ARE the world marketleader in spinnakercloth (really, there is no place for modesty here). We're the main-suppliers of cloth used in the America's Cup (Alinghi), Volvo Ocean Race and many other high-end sailing races.
I joined the company 6 years ago.

[end of my self-indulged rant! lol ]

Dude, I hope that I will return to the Bay someday soon to step on a boat, or even just to kick Larry Ellison's ass..... lol ....the guy is a jerk! And yes, beer would be good! wink

No rant there, just good to know. Seems you're quite the seadog... I learned to sail on the bay and whenever I can get away from my responsibilities I get out on the Bay. I sail mostly the smaller stuff, Wabbitt 24's are my favorites bit I'll sail with anyone who needs railmeat...

Hate Ellison, love his boat (and his money!)
