I'm conducting an unofficial survey...

How do you feel about integrated locker rooms? I am particularly interested in the male perspective, but would love to hear how women feel as well.

In a situation where there is a team of 10 or more adult men and only one woman, should the woman be allowed to share the locker room with her teammates? Or should she be made to sit in a locker room by herself, both before and after the game? Keep in mind that holding to the conventional gender separation would avoid the initial discomfort of having a woman in the locker room, but it also excludes the woman from her team, and the comaradarie of being allowed to participate in pre/post game talk or celebration.

so...should she be allowed to be in the locker room? Y/N

Men are disgusting animals and would walk around with boners if she was hot... they would also sexually abuse her by flopping their dongs around like polish sausage...

What kind of locker room are you referring to. A public locker room or a team locker room?

Team locker room, specifically - ice hockey.

A better question would be, "What about woman reporters in the locker room?" Female reports are allowed into male locker rooms and have total access and male reporters are not allowed the same luxuries.

It's a double standard, but as I am to understand it a lot of the male athletes are not very happy about it and resent the women reporters.

By the way "chick in the locker room" as a title shows no class.

Where does this happen? Certainly not the professional level. Male reporters still have access to baseball locker rooms and basketball. I don't know about football.

I have a female friend who plays ice hockey in California on a co-ed team. Apparently they share a locker room and there is no problem.

I too have a female friend who plays hockey (thus the survey), and her co-ed team is fine with her being in the locker room. She plays with them, gets checked with them, scores goals with them, and celebrates with them.

However, a gentleman from another team (who just happened to still be lingering in the locker room from a previous game), yelled at her to get out. As if she were an evil infiltrator, there to spy upon his precious privates.

I don't know how I'd feel personally, if I were her, or if the roles were reversed. I think it takes a level of maturity to be comfortable in this situation, also to consider women in a non-sexual context.
