I was talking to my friend Daniel just the other day. I said to Daniel, "I wonder if atheists are indeed smarter than Christians?"

Daniel replied, "Yes, they are," and Daniel began telling me about various statistics he'd read in the past. He also found these links for me, and gave them to me today.

I'm not implying anything, or anything, about the good Christianly people of the world. I've met intelligent Christians, and dumb atheists.

This is because most Athiests are personality types that operate strictly on the basis of facts, or perceived facts. The atheists that I know only believe something if it's seen or proven.

Interesting question...God is against divorce...but he gave an allowance for it anyway...yet...multiple marriages were a very common thing...many men had many wives...the only ones that were not supposed to have more than one wife were the elders and deacons. Some of the greatest and wisest kings of the OT were some of the most well known horn dogs of all time, many many wives fed their appetite. I wonder what changed all that. How come here in United States (unless your mormon) you can only have one wife (or at least one at a time.)

The only thing I think was totally wrong about the whole deal was...women were not allowed to have more than one husband...like they didn't like a little sum sum on the side too!!

It almost seems that this study presents a bit of a paradox. I would be interested to see a study of how many truly and severely intelligent people have been documented as having the tendency to fail the same kinds of standardized tests used to establish these statistics. Additionally, fail to be successful in conforming to the rigidity necessary to be sucessful in school, career, etc.
I don't think one can use test scores or grades as a basis for evidence in this case.

Also, atheism establishes a paradigm for intelligent people, which seems to be akin to the religious paradigm. Which would make those who conform to arguing atheism of the same yoke as those who argue in favor of religion.

If the arguement is "Is it more logical to be a Christian?" an intelligent person can argue the logic in anything. Christianity vs. Atheism might be more of a question of the spirit vs. the mind, and you can't put a value on either, they are both necessary.

This topic could really take off with a better title...

...you know... something like "Atheists and Agnostics are Smarter than Christians!"

That would bring them in!!!
