I can't be the only person who really hates Eminem, can I?

Come on now... don't tell me that EVERYONE else on here likes that turd... please don't tell me that...

I have some faith in humanity and I would hate to see it destroyed by a serious disappointment on the Eminem front...

I don't HATE Eminem,but I am a little sick of his bitter,hateful,violent,self-referential lyrics.As a rapper,he seems to be a one-dimensional artist only dwelling on ONE subject.He IS talented though.

I automatically lose some respect for people when I find out they dig him. Not to say I do not respect others' musical choices, but how can you like a man who stands for what he believes in? confused

EDIT: Yeah, okay, I've got to admit he's talented. That much I'll say. But the messages for his songs... ugh.

Hate is a big word which i keep for other occassions.
But if he would be shot in another rapdrive-by ,i wouldn't give a damn. It would be better for the music in general (not the industry).

Let me rephrase myself.
I don't like all the hate and disrespect that Eminem shows in his so called music. He is talented, he does say what's on his mind, which is good, but damn, too many young people are listening, and growing on this hateful disrespecting artist, and that's where org flamers come from razz j/k

Life is too short for me to hate silly little pop stars smile

For what it's worth though, I'm a hiphop connoisseur and I really enjoyed all of Eminem's albums. He might be a moron and I probably wouldn't want him to come on a camping holiday with me or anything but I like his work and he has oodles of talent as a rapper.

Quite liked "White America" from his latest album...

Personally, I think he sucks shit through a straw. He's an immature little twit who hasn't realised that he's white! I think his rapping sounds like a muppet on crack. If it weren't for Dr. Dre, he'd just be another lame-ass white rapper like Vanilla Ice. What, I'm suppossed to be impressed because his raps are "honest"? Bullshit! His raps are so pre-fabricated its not funny! So he raps about killing his wife and beating up gays? All he's doing with that is writing for his target market: angry, middle class, twelve year-old white boys. Puh-leeze!

I have a theory about Mr. Shady: His name spelled backwards is Menime. Now, pronounced phoenetically, that would be "Mini Me"! He's a clone of Dr. Dre, at one eighth the blackness!!!

Please...
For anyone who lives in Detroit or has actually been here it is not a good movie. It makes the city look like what most of France did after WWII.
Detroit has a bad enough reputation already and this movie doesn't help.
Also, I was a news reporter in the township in which Mr. Mathers built his mansion and that asshole caused so many problems. His ex-wife tried to commit suicide because of the hell that the two of them put each other through. He went to a local bar and pulled out a gun on a guy that his ex kissed on the cheek. He also pulled a gun on two other Detroit rappers (ICP) in a car stereo store parking lot.
I have no love for Eminem...

Triumph's comments on the MTV awards scuffle...

"I would like all of you to know that I am fine, that the scuffle at the MTV
awards involving Eminem, Moby and Eminem's trusty friend who threw my
pooping paper in the air did not result in permanent injury. As soon as
Christina Aguilera came out, I licked myself as a test and my pink thing was
perfectly functional. You will be glad to know that Moby also licked
himself and all systems were go.

It was unfortunate that such an incident had to happen, especially on
Michael Jackson's birthday, a day when we should all be embracing one
another and humping our chimpanzees. The tone had been set for a lovely
evening by Britney Spears, who is now hanging with Michael, thus ensuring
she will remain a virgin indefinitely. As you now, my goal is never to set
off scuffles and controversy, only to poop on and humilate others. I only
wish Eminem could relax and enjoy all he has: his unique talent, and his
smooth white hair, which brings to mind a beagle's nutsack. He should
lighten up...I mean, my mom was a bitch too, but I don't go writing sings
about it."

Thanks for putting it into words for me, David! I can't say I hate Eminem (or anyone for that matter) and I will
admit he is somewhat talented, but I think his "mad at the world, but love the attention" attitude is TIRED!

When people claim that Eminem is such a great MC, I really wonder if they're even listening to what he's saying, or are they just referring to the beats and his flow. You can't go wrong with a fierce beat and a tight hook...sheeit, even Marily Manson has some tight beats, but I wouldn't go bumpin' Devil-worshipping music!

Making music about your struggles in life is keepin' it real, but murdering your babymamma and puttin' her in the trunk is just sick and stupid!

I don't support negativity and that's why I don't support Schmeminem!

~Peace and Blessings to all the Beautiful Ones.

I saw it and it really wasn't that good. A cross between Purple Rain and the Karate Kid: way too many fight scenes he never seems to lose and his 'ad-lib' rapping isn't really that good until the final 'battle'. I won't be buying his cd any time soon, but i respect his talent--although it appears that Dre has a lot to do with that, too.

No, you aren't the only person who feels that way. Of course not.

Eminem is a great rapper...not a good rapper...but a great rapper ala Nas, Jadakiss, Pharoe Monarch, Method man, Jay-Z, etc... His lyrics, while offensive to many, are well thought out and actually entertaining, informative, and disturbing...

Horror films, while disturbing to many, are considered art. I think Alfred Hitchcock was an artist, do you? What about Vincent Price? For the record, many people consider the video "Thriller" by Michael Jackson to be the best video of all time. Also, many others consider it to be a disturbing, offensive short film. Subjectivity at work here folks...no need to try to figure out who or what is right and what or who is wrong. It is what it is...

Just my 2 cents.

Eminem is one of the most talented rap artists to hit to scene. He has his sell-out dance tunes, poetic lyricals, firey battle raps, crazy freestyles, and solid hardcore rap joints.

He has plenty of raps for radio stations that never see labeled wax, and he is about hip-hop.

He has love for the genre and he is a master of the genre, which is incredible because the genre relies a lot of coming up from in certain environments and representing. As an artist, I put him on the level of KRS-One, Redman, all them. As an artist of cross-over appeal, I put him with Run DMC, Outkast, Nelly, etc.

It's great that you don't like him. That means that you like something else. How about you bump "Space" from your speakers when rollin down the ave and have a good time?
