^^^^ Tomorrow is the big day!! I can hardly wait, I feel just like a kid at Christmas. lol A good friend of mine, her mom and I were at The Cheesecake Factory just a couple of days ago. We found out that, unfortunately due to the cheesecakes only being sold for $1.50 a piece, that you are limited to only one piece per customer. Also, you have to dine in at The Cheesecake Factory, you can't take it to go, or phone in your order. :sulk: Damn, and here my friend and I were planning on buying several different kinds of cheesecake, taking them home, and putting them in the freezer. lol

Guess we won't be able to do that now, but they are introducing a brand new kind of cheesecake tomorrow. I forget what it's called, but it's got chocolate cake and I think chocolate cheesecake as well. My friend and I have already said that we're going to try it, since it's brand new, never available until now. I CAN'T WAIT! woot! woot!
RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

giggle My friend, her mom and I went to the Cheesecake Factory tonight. Got there around 5:30, which was a good thing, because already the people were in line, waiting to give their name so that they could get a table. Didn't have to wait too long for a table, which was good. Unfortunately, the service we received at the restaurant was not good at all. My friend's mom ordered a hamburger that was not done the way she wanted it, so it was sent back. After a lengthy wait, the replacement hamburger arrived, and thankfully, it was much better than the first one. Also, the service was not real good either. I can understand that The Cheesecake Factory busier than usual tonight because of their 30th Anniversary and all. But the waitress did not come to our table as often as she should have, so as a result, she did not get a very good tip. Also, it was hard to hear in the restaurant, because of the volume of people talking and the music. I had to yell to get the waitress' attention, and my friend was teasing me: "No more chocolate cheesecake for you." lol Normally, I don't yell at people like that, but I had to, because the waitress just did not seem to be able to hear too well.

All three of us got the 30th Anniversary Chocolate Cake Cheesecake, and were disappointed in it. It was very very sweet, and the chocolate cake that was in it was not moist at all, and seemed kind of stale. The waitress told us that this cheesecake was going to be added to their menu. I will be interested to see how long it stays on there, if it does not taste as good as the other cheesecakes that are on their menu. I think you are probably better off getting the cheesecake that you normally enjoy, instead of the new one. It was not as good as we thought it would be, but at least we know now not to get it anymore. Thankfully, we only had to pay $1.50 for it, instead of the usual price.

Anyway, that was my experience tonight.
RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

Awwwww. . . hun, I'm sorry you were disappointed. hug Sorry to say, you weren't alone.

Ya know. . . sigh God. . . has a REALLY. . . jacked up sense of humor. disbelief double-sigh

I got to the restaurant around 6:30 and there were LITERALLY over 100 people waiting outside in 100 degree weather. There were kids and strollers all over the damn place. Plus a 60 minute wait for a table. So I assessed the situation and decided that saving $6 bucks on cheesecake is not worth an hour-long wait in the heat, to eat in a hot ass restaurant, and receive crappy ass service. disbelief Needless to say. . . we didn't get a chance to eat there. sad

We went to a restaurant down the street and I swear I wanted to cry when I looked at their crappy ass menu cuz I had my mouf SET for some Cheesecake Factory food and cheesecake. disbelief We're gonna go back on another day and have a long leisurely meal. I'm really disappointed though. Oh well, I leave for Vegas on Friday so it's all to tha good. thumbs up!

This is true, if you can eat at a restaurant chain that is also in your hometown and/or state, you don't exactly want to eat there when you go on vacation. nod Never been to Vegas before, but people who have tell me it's a lot of fun. A cheesecake craving is very hard to ignore. nod giggle

nod Vegas has an awesome collection of world-class restaurants. So it's heaven for a foodie like myself. Love LV. I could totally live there.
