I'm a lil hesitant though (not just cuz they cost almost what my mortgage is ) because I just took my new Louboutin sandals to the cobbler since the straps were too long on the sides of my foot and would gap open. After his assessment, he told me he's gotta COMPLETELY take the damn shoe apart, cut the straps, and put it back together. I'm sorry, considering how much I paid for them shoes, I expected better craftsmanship and tailoring. Yea, I hear you. BUT straps are always tricky depending on the width of the foot, etc. I think you can't really go wrong w/ a boot UNLESS it's too tight across the foot (which is impossible) or the calf is cut too narrow. & you'll know it the minute you try it on, just send them back if they aren't working. But I'd at least try that mutha out. Then again, you're talking to a woman who purchased the following shoe TWICE, sent them back TWICE & still has the nerve to want them despite having THREE pair already I just can't justify them - I have black leather, camel leather & yellow leather. These are satin & more dressy BUT I just can't make peace w/ that little strip of patent leather where the buckle is, it ruins the shoe for me. But I still love the overall texture & covered heel

It hurts to see lovely shoes that I know I won't buy bcuz I'm not casual enough. *le sigh* I just made a space for them in the closet I was hoping for a 3.5 heel but it feels like a 4", I'm gonna have to wear them on a sitting down/looking cute night

But I still love the overall texture & covered heel I remember these from the other thread. They didn't work out? You could always take them to a cobbler and put a different buckle on it. As for mine, the straps are way longer on one shoe than the other so it's like he's doing open heart surgery on my babies. I've never had to do this with any shoes before so I guess I'm disappointed that they weren't a lil better made. You're right about the boots though. My main concern is with that hidden platform there's less wiggle room where the toes are so I'ma have to see how that works out. Now that Bush has signed the housing bill I might be able to free up some mortgage money to buy them badboys.

The satin ones are the only ones that didn't work, but I knew I couldn't keep 2 black pair I had to make myself choose between the satin & the leather. I made the right choice, the leather is more versatile, but I still drool over the satin pair Sorry the straps are so off, that is strange for such an expensive shoe! Hopefully it won't cost you a grip to have them fixed. & depending on where you bought them I wonder if they should have them fixed for you since it's a definite flaw in the making of the shoe - worth investigating I still say try the boots & even if they're a touch snug they'll give a bit b/c they're suede. They're worth an honest assessment though, they're too hot

Alright, Thready. Have a seat and try these on.
I really like the brown one's. These are still conservative but with a lil pizzaz. And these are just all the way extra but I still like 'em.

That last pair will be perfect for my costume when I'm out fighting crime at night. One problem: I need lace-ups. My arches need the support. I have big, sorta-flat feet. le sigh

I waited til the last minute to take them to the cobbler. As for price, you know you're in trouble when he says he's got to take 'em apart first before he knows how much it'll cost to put 'em back together.

The brown ones are pretty close to a pair I bought earlier this year. For variety, I'm going to avoid getting another square-toed pair, even in black. Hence the black pair I like. Thanks for your help, though! G'night, y'all.

Alright, I just got these (the middle pair, in brown): Not as warm a color as here, but still visibly brown & cute They must be gone already, I can't find a solo pic of them on the Nordstrom site - glad I called @ 5am for mine love ur style & before those, I had to get these (a little hookerish, but I love the curve on them, & the color knocks me): No more shoes for me... until Winter
