You'll never know what it's like to take care of a child until you have to take care of your own.

You'll never know what it's like to take care of a child until you have to take care of your own.

I have friends that don't have kids and man they try to lend out advice. chatterbox I'm like what the hell can you tell me when you haven't even had a child?

And the ones who have kids, we can talk all day. But if you have a child and you're not in their life, you don't know what it's like until you've done it!

I'm not venting. eek I just didn't know what it was like until I had to do it.

What about you?

Me? It's funny but I have no kids, and still I know exactly how parents should be raising theirs!

Yeah, i have a kid but i don't agree with that logic. Just because you don't have a kid doesn't mean you cannot use common sense to give advice where it's needed. And to be blunt MOST people with kids could probably use the advice, as they have no f-ing idea what they're doing.

I think it goes beyond that, though. When you have your own kids you won't even follow your OWN advice lol lol...It's just different.

well...we were all kids at one point so even folx who don't have kids can have an opinion on certain kid topics.
You don't have to give a shit about what they think but...none the less.

I think outsiders always have insight into what people are doing wrong with their lives (ie eating wrong, smoking, wasting time, being overly negative, etc). We always seem to ignore our own glaring flaws. But it doesn't give us the right to butt in...unfortunately!

Yep, cuz when I was 15 I knew everything my mom and dad were doing in raising me that was wrong. But would they listen? Nooooo.....

"Wait until you have teenagers of your own!", they'd say. I'd think "Well, when I DO, I won't be so unfair and will treat them as adults!"

I'm now the father of a teenage girl.

They were right.

To be blunt, I don't really give a damn when some stranger who doesn't have kids tries to offer advice. You can have all the experience you want but until you've spent any time with mine, you can have a nice tall glass of shut the fuck up.

Im the first to say, I dont know what the fuck im doing when it comes to taking care of my kids. I go with the flow. I give them what they want so they will shut their pie holes. I spoil them rotten. BUT I do try to teach them right from wrong. NOT TO FOLLOW MY PATH, but to learn from what is going on around them. I buy lots of books and YES, they read them. I even took a sex ed class with my 15 year old boy.

I can only do so much, mama doesnt know 10% of what she should!!!
Say it's just a dream...
U open up ur eyes and come 2 realize
u simply imagined this
So u lean over and give her a kiss
Here on earth, here on earth,
with u it's not so bad
Here on earth, here on earth
eye don't feel so sad
Stay right here

yeah but he really annoys me, and since all he wants is to be with me, moving him is depriving him of it until he changes his tune. He can keep it up for ages neutral
