Mine weren't exactly planned. lol ..but I would suggest seeing ur doctor..making sure all ur immunisations are up to date and ask him/her if there is anything u should be taking (iron etc). And zombies right the 9 months is enough time to deal with it emotionally (well eithier that or u never will lol )

Thanks! I think we have decided that we will wait until next year. Not quite ready for all that goes with a baby just yet.

If it happens, it happens.
I will keep taking my vitamins though for now, it can't hurt.

Thanks to all of the mom's. Your great and it seems like you have done a wonderful job with your children. Gives me hope.....

Yes well I kind of think we have that part down alright. Lots of other things that go along with it though.
For now, let's enjoy the puppy.....like I said if we do well with him, maybe we might have a shot at being somewhat good parents.

Quite honestly though....I feel like I might be those ages by the time we are ready and finally make it happen. To me that is too old to have my first so I am torn a bit.

ALot of women are having babies at that age these days, some of it because people are not getting married until their 30's and also because they have been busy with careers and things first. Apparently older women who have babies are often more financially stable...or something to that effect lol

Hmmm I guess that is true. I just am just thinking about the child having old parents as they grow up.

It is strange though, there was a time that I was more financially equipped to have a baby but I did not want one with the person I was with.
I never seem to get all of the pieces together at the same time.
I guess we shall see what the future holds.

I do not see how kids could be easier???? I can put my pup in a crate and leave to go to the store. I can't do that with a kid.
When I take Dylan out, I do not have to take a stroller and diaper bag....

I could go on I think. lol

I have also heard stories of children saying "Mommy, who is that lady so fat?" really loudly in a store as well.

I am fine with the unconditional love of a pup for now. That and I do not have to buy him clothes that he constantly grows out of.

Kids sound expensive... confused

They say exactly what they think, don't they? I wish we could do that as adults.
That and having a screaming fit in the middle of a store, wouldn't that be fun if we could still do that?

That sounds good to me. Just like with a dog or a man really, never say yes or allow them to do anything that you do not want them to continue to do.

Nip it in the bud before it even starts.
Good to see that the same applies for men, dogs and children.

i once had to carry my daughter around the supermarket under my arm as i would not let her have the yoghurts she picked up (full of sugar). i had her wriggling under one arm & basket in the other.
she could not escape my vice like grip. i reckon that shame goes away for a while in situations like this. i was not giving in.

also as soon as you start having those doctors appointments, internals and the like, dignity takes a hike too.
