I use liquid detergent all the time. It's the only thing that works in a high efficiency washer.

I haven't noticed any difference between powder and liquid detergent. But I use liquid all the time because I live in an apartment, and it's easier to lug the liquid stuff to the laundry room.

It depends on how nice your washer is.

I have one of those pimp ass Kenmore Elite systems so powder works just as well as liquid. But on cheaper ones, liqueid seems to be nicer.



Use SEVENTH GENERATION liquid detergent--it's free of phosphates , and all those other wierd ass chemicals they put in your wash to artificially "brighten" your clothes.

Well, if on whites, I guess it's ok to use Tide.

Okay, since you all seem to be on the liquid:

The amount the manufacturer recommends you use...it's a scam, isn't it?

i grew up using liquid but nowadays i've been using powder. i haven't noticed any difference between the two except that i make less of a mess with powder detergent.

I usually will use liquid though I use powder also at times
