When I was 11 I wanted to be Andy from Pretty in Pink when I grew up. But that's a wanna-be thing and not a what I already am thing.

I've never really thought OMG! that's me! for any character.

Ever watch a movie and think "this character is sooo me!"

well who was it? and why? biggrin

I haven't! I always find characters that are like some of the people in my life, but I've never seen a character that made me think of myself lol

Now, if we were talking about tv, I get told that I'm like Melissa from Real World New Orleans all.the.time. I know that she isn't a character, but you know what I mean. I see it too, though. She and I have similar personalities. nod

Hmm... An interesting question. I identify with parts of:

Bob Hughes, from Drugstore Cowboy. In that, through sheer luck, he manages to come out of his youthful indiscretions unscathed and decides to change his life.

David Dobel, from Anything Else. In that he tries to impart his hard-won wisdom to a younger person.

Alice Tate, from Alice. In that she goes through therapy that allows her to have a better understanding of herself and the true nature of happiness.

The Dude, from The Big Lebowski: the Zen.

I think I'm kind of a combo of a few people confuse

Marianne Dashwood (Kate Winslet) in "Sense & Sensibility"

Mame (Rosalind Russell) in "Auntie Mame"

Katie Jordan (Michelle Pfeiffer) in "The Story of Us"

Anais Nin (Maria Madeiros) in "Henry & June"

Ann Millaney (Andie McDowell) in "sex, lies, and videotape"

I've calmed down TREMENDOUSLY over the last 15 years. I remember in my 20's I went through phase where I could only relate to leads in movies like "Siesta" (starring Ellen Barkin), and "The Last Seduction" (w/ Linda Fiorentino)

boxed. I'm so glad THAT era of my youth is over lol

but sometimes you just have to stop trying to please everybody else or else you'll lose yourself

hmmm If you REALLY feel this way, maybe ya'll need therapy. wink lol

I probably do, but not because I relate to George Bailey. lol

I think lots of people feel that they have obligations that stop them from living the life of their dreams... and in the end George is grateful, so very very grateful, for all that he has.
