I agree It's a blessing to have a job you like, but it's no where near as important as having a good time with your friends. yup, and I don't know why it took me 36 years to realise this

I am 41 now and have been working for sHell for 8,5 yrs (not a sHell contract but for an agency)
Yesterday they offered me a long time contract for a sales support job sHell Global Lubricants I love my job since I know the business and worked my ass off for the last years but didn't profit from all the benefits sHell contractors get, so money is not all but I surely need the 30% extra I am receiving once my contract is signed Hi Nat, hope you're well (and sHell is not a typo )

Genesia said: Natisse said: lol fair enough... and have you found that you've found 'where you belong' now? Honestly, I'm not sure I "belong" anywhere. I just am where I am. What I do for a living doesn't really inform my identity. The blessing of being good at a lot of different things is...that you can do a lot of different things. The curse is that you're never sure if what you're doing is what you were meant to do. Sometimes, I envy people who have a more focused sort of talent. But then, I think that if I were denied the chance to do something I felt I was "born" to do, I'd be miserable. I can do any number of things and be happy. Sounds familiar. I went to a psychic once to see what I was "meant" to be career wise. She said that she could not pin point one thing in particular. She said that I could be anything I wanted to be because I was so adaptable and can learn things quickly. I was hoping for more direction.

My husband and my friend Karl seem to be able to do anything thrown at them, I know I never have to worry about them having or getting a job, they will always be OK, but on the other hand for them to be happy with "a job"? a whole other story they don't have a one-track passion like I do, I CAN'T do anything else, which makes things very easy for me in a way.

I have always been envious of people with a hobby that is an all-consuming passion, that is something I have always wanted for myself and never found. I would love a good excuse for spending time and moneay A career that is a similar passion would be nice, but as soon as it involves being paid for it, suddenly the fun is taken out of it

I wanted to get into the legal field but I didn't want to be a lawyer. I ended up going to school to become a Paralegal. I went to night school for 3 years and received a certificate as a Paralegal and got an A.A. in Administration of Justice. I actually didn't use my certificate for over 5 years. I love what I do. Each day is totally different. My clients keep me on my toes. MyeternalgrattitudetoPhil&Val.Herman said "We want sweaty truckers at the truck stop! Now that is a big job in itself! In the last 2 days I interviewed a man that kept yelling at me while he was naked in his cell. He was also jumping up and down IN the toilet. I also interviewed a woman that has been accused of attempted murder. She tried to kill her adoptive parents by burning there house down while they slept. She called my deputy a whore but she was nice to me. MyeternalgrattitudetoPhil&Val.Herman said "We want sweaty truckers at the truck stop!
