I agree thumbs up!
It's a blessing to have a job you like, but it's no where near as important as having a good time with your friends.

yup, and I don't know why it took me 36 years to realise this err

I am 41 now and have been working for sHell for 8,5 yrs (not a sHell contract but for an agency)

Yesterday they offered me a long time contract for a sales support job sHell Global Lubricants excited

I love my job since I know the business and worked my ass off for the last years but didn't profit from all the benefits sHell contractors get, so money is not all but I surely need the 30% extra I am receiving once my contract is signed nod

Hi Nat, hope you're well hug

lol fair enough... and have you found that you've found 'where you belong' now?

Honestly, I'm not sure I "belong" anywhere. I just am where I am.

What I do for a living doesn't really inform my identity. The blessing of being good at a lot of different things is...that you can do a lot of different things. The curse is that you're never sure if what you're doing is what you were meant to do.

Sometimes, I envy people who have a more focused sort of talent. But then, I think that if I were denied the chance to do something I felt I was "born" to do, I'd be miserable.

I can do any number of things and be happy. shrug

Sounds familiar. I went to a psychic once to see what I was "meant" to be career wise.
She said that she could not pin point one thing in particular. She said that I could be anything I wanted to be because I was so adaptable and can learn things quickly.
I was hoping for more direction. neutral

it's true though, some people seem to be able to do ANYTHING
I'm pretty jealous!
My husband and my friend Karl seem to be able to do anything thrown at them, I know I never have to worry about them having or getting a job, they will always be OK, but on the other hand for them to be happy with "a job"? a whole other story confused they don't have a one-track passion like I do, I CAN'T do anything else, which makes things very easy for me in a way.

I think it would be a great feeling to be good at something and really love to do it.
I envy ppl that know what that one thing is and they are doing it.
Maybe by the time I am 80 I will figure out what I am good at.

It makes it EASIER in one way, but if times get tough, there isn't anything else I can do.
I have always been envious of people with a hobby that is an all-consuming passion, that is something I have always wanted for myself and never found. I would love a good excuse for spending time and moneay lol
A career that is a similar passion would be nice, but as soon as it involves being paid for it, suddenly the fun is taken out of it pout

I do not think I have ever had a hobby that cost money. Never found anything that seemed worth the money that it would take to do.

I wanted to get into the legal field but I didn't want to be a lawyer. I ended up going to school to become a Paralegal. I went to night school for 3 years and received a certificate as a Paralegal and got an A.A. in Administration of Justice. I actually didn't use my certificate for over 5 years. I love what I do. Each day is totally different. My clients keep me on my toes.

In the last 2 days I interviewed a man that kept yelling at me while he was naked in his cell. He was also jumping up and down IN the toilet.

I also interviewed a woman that has been accused of attempted murder. She tried to kill her adoptive parents by burning there house down while they slept.
She called my deputy a whore but she was nice to me.
