GO SEE MAMMA MIA! I saw Mamma Mia! last night and it is amazing! A great, classic musical with a "Greek" chorus, dancing boys and girls, gorgeous scenery and super strong performances. Meryl Streep reminds us why she wins so many awards.
I've never seen the show, actually kinda avoided it, but it's a strong book that actually does put together a story with the Abba catalog. Great summer fluff!!!! http://elmadartista.tumblr.com/ http://twitter.com/madartista

I've seen the musical twice and have already made plans to go see the movie with a bunch of friends. Can't wait.

I saw previews that made me cringe! WTF are you; a faggot or something!? I'm typically not a musical gay. Evita, Jesus Christ Superstar, and West Side Story, that's it for me. Probably why I haven't seen the stage show. And I'm not a Uber-Abba gay, either. I love love love "The Winner Takes It All", but the rest of the hits I don't really care much about. Still, I loved the movie. It's definitely too super faggotty for you, though. Flashy, sparkly, flamboyantly, limp-wristedly, fiercely, unashamedly over-the-top faggotty gay gay ghey!!! And the screening I saw -- at Outfest -- phew! the homos cheered for the Universal logo at the opening, I swear. A sing-a-long, riotously great time. http://elmadartista.tumblr.com/ http://twitter.com/madartista

The women I work with are SO EXCITED to see Mamma Mia!
We were all going to go see it opening night, but I'll be on vacation so they'll be going without me. I don't know if I'll go see it in theater, but I'll definately get the dvd. I'm actually SUPER excited I'm firmly planted in denial

I've got my priorities in order, though. I'm going to see Dark Knight on opening day in imax and then Mamma Mia on Sunday. I'm not a total fag.

I like SOME. You know, Sound Of Music and Mary Poppins, but that is more cuz of Julie Andrews... And as a little kid I was a HUGE ABBA fan. Don't tell anyone, it would ruin my rep.

I saw previews that made me cringe! WTF are you; a faggot or something!? I saw the stage show (on a date so I couldn't walk out) and I was crawling out of my skin. I don't mind ABBA music but the whole concept of the play was reductio ad absurdum. Great summer fluff!!!! did anyone from the Broadway musical make the cut? or was everyone recast? The Most Important Thing In Life Is Sincerity....Once You Can Fake That, You Can Fake Anything.

But Benny and Bjorn supervised the recording and even some of the musicians were the original ones

I was thinking of taking my niece to this since she likes musicals. Would this be appropriate for an almost 12 year old? Shake it til ya make it
