omg you should have seen the looks on my parents faces when I went away for a weekend, and when I came back I had:
a job that started following monday
and an apartment lined up
I was 21 though, but they were gobsmacked

months and months of plotting and scheming behind their backs to get the hell out of there lol

I had to be a clothes horse in high school.... my mom wasn't trying to pay for my fashionista extravagance. I got a job without her consent, had my older cousin sign the work papers too. Bought my first pair of Calvin Kleins with my first paycheck too. giggle

I know it sucks and it seems like they're out to get you, but in my experience they're probably not.

Just try and go with the flow. I know that may not be what you want to hear. Believe it or not us moms work really hard to take care of our kids. We're constantly trying to balance how to be a good parent and someone who our kids will talk to and come to in times of need.

You won't be young for long and maybe you've heard this before but enjoy the good things about it because it won't last forever and believe me being an adult isn't always what it's cracked up to be.

The freedom that comes with being an adult also brings triple the responsibility.

Things will get better soon.

We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.
