Do You Hate Being Put On Hold?

I've been on hold with this company for like a good 15-20 minutes. What makes it worse is when they keep having that same annoying message, "All of our customer service representatives are busy right now. Your call will be answered in the order it was received. Thank you!" I wouldn't mind if it came on once in awhile, but this message keeps coming on like every 2 minutes. rolleyes rolleyes I find myself saying out loud, "Yeah, yeah, shut up!" whenever the message starts again. lol lol

You know, sometimes when they put me on hold for ever and ever, I get the feeling that they must only have 1 or 2 people who are taking the phone calls. confused

Anxiety

if i'm able, i put the call on hold on hold and then i call them again from another line. and then, if there's another phone in the house i'll call them again. i just work up a bunch of lines until i get through, and if another operator answers one of my other calls, well, i giggle.

it doesnt bother me really ... but the cable company nod ..they'll have me on hold.. depending if there is a power outage or something, u'll be on hold for awhile cause so many people are phoning in @ once...

True, but this was me calling a company, asking them to please be removed from their mailing list. giggle I finally was able to talk to a person, but it took awhile.

competitive utility companies like phone, cable, etc., should have a policy that for every 15 minutes a customer has to wait to speak with someone on the phone, they get 10% off their next bill. that's right, so if you wait an hour, you get 40% off your next bill. then people will start complaining about operators answering calls TOO SOON. lol

I"ve been hung up on by the IRS a bazillion times in the last few days. I still have not received my stimulus payment and every tiem I call I get a message saying that due to the extremely high call volume they can't take my call and to try again later or on the next business day.

I'M NEVER GOING TO GET MY MONEY!!! mad mad mad

I'm sure it's cause they screwed up my taxes - remember my $7000+ tax refund? That I promptly returned and had to call them to get it straightened out? I got my real tax refund super duper late and now when I look up where my stimulus check is on the IRS website it says "There is a delay in processing your stimulus payment". It's said that for months and months now.

when I call a business, I expect to be put on hold, so it doesn't bother me too much.

on the other hand, if THEY call ME, and then have the nerve to put me on hold, i just hang up.
