I don't like Cricket. I Love it!!!!

The Ashes have just started Down Under and I think its only fair that someone revels in this oldest of sporting contests. Is anyone else out there a member of the ever dwindling fan club of Cricket?
If so, do you think England have any chance against those mighty Aussies?
(If I get 2 responses to this one I'll be surprised...)

From what i've seen so far we haven't got a hope in hell.
We lack the bowlers...
I feel pretty, that's enough

Yep, and now Gough is out for the series.
I vote for the re-introduction of Bodyline bowling. Its the only chance we've got...

Dunno...but Dr. Who was quite the bowler from what I understand. Confirm, deny?

I love cricket. I don't follow it anymore since its invisible living in the USA, but I grew in the times of Vivian Richards, Andy Roberts, Richie Richardson and all the other great West Indians.

So Australia is always on top now?

Are Pakistan, Afganistan still playing? Anyone new?

Australia are the best team in the World at the moment. Probably the best side that has ever played.
Pakistan aren't as good as they used to be, but still not bad.
The "new" team in relative terms would be South Africa. Since they were allowed back into the sporting world they built up a great team. Unfortunately, Hansie Cronje tainted that success through match fixing and after being banned for life, he was killed in a plane crash.
Unfortunately, I thought England were on the rise, but after being bowled out for 79 today, it seems not

I'd have to agree with Diva. It does get a bit boring seeing Australia win all the time, so let's hope that the English make a game of it during the Ashes. The English have a habbit of taking a couple of games to warm up, so I figure that they might pull a win out of the hat towards the end of the series.

The Poms are truly pathetic. They cant even make a half decent game of it.

We Aussies need a challenge desperately.
