I think it depends on the person. Some people just look dirty with a beard.....and that's not always a bad thing..... I can deal with the "it's been days since I shaved cuz I'm a bad ass" stubble if the guy can pull it off and not look skanky, otherwise I prefer clean shaven guys. In spite of the cost of living, it's still popular. |

I don't like facial hair at all on guys (or women, for the matter). A little soul patch is okay if the guy can pull it off, but otherwise give me clean shaven. (I dislike long hair on guys too.) | |

 Whenever this subject comes up, I invoke my facial hair policy:
As day-to-day presentation goes, I am a fan of no more than goatees (very well-groomed ones) only on certain ethnicities. White and indigenous American men, I think, almost always look best clean-shaven or just slightly scruffy. BUT(!) an occasional and fleeting full beard can do wonders in reminding the world of just how sexy most any guy is in his primal state. I'm seeing quite a bit of hate here for beards.  I used to do the whole really neat goatee thing but lately I prefer the full beard, just trimmed quite often and maintained a bit.
I can pull it off, right? Look, badass, but deep and sensitive too.
