Hello Bob hug

We ascended a meandering country road blanketed by overhanging oaks, dutch elms and various emerald colored foliage in my little rental car, trying to not stay too far towards the middle of the impossibly narrow roadway, for around the corner of every turn was the potential of a carelessly speeding driver in some vehicle designed for much larger roads to cause our drive to take a drastic turn for the worse lol. We spent hours talking about our childhoods, our fears, our upbringing, and countless other things that popped into our heads. I relived old ghosts for him, exposing thoughts and deep secrets that I never allowed to seep to the surface before, the entire time realizing I was an unworthy participant in something altogether beautiful.
It was just my luck that on such a beautiful, meandering pathway that the goddamned mirror on the passenger side of the vehicle would strike a roadside telephone pole. Actually, roadside would be an understatement—you could have been in the middle of the damned road and felt a puff of air from the damned thing as you whooshed by. Sheesh. Due to the fact that the road had no shoulders, and the passenger side went from the extremes of having a moss covered stone wall preventing us from pulling over, to a steep 50 ft drop down to a rather picturesque stream, I was not able to pull over and had to drive to the top of the hill and turn around and retrace our steps. Alun searched 4 telephone poles in total, one of them possessing no less than 3 mirrors that met the same fate as mine lol, but we never managed to find mine.
Why the hell do the brits pass off these narrow ass bicycle lanes as fully fledged roadways, I’ll never know. lol
We then got back in my car and drove another five minutes when an ocoming car forced me to grind my passenger side hubcap against the stone wall causing a considerable amount of damage to it.
After a good deal of cursing and frustration we found a parking spot at the bottom of the other side of the meandering roadway, I got out and inspected the damage, took a deep breath of frustration, got back in the car and drove.
His face at this point was one of chagrin for sure. He was worried for me. Concerned about my feelings, the monitary ramifications, etc. etc. It took him a good 30 minutes to snap out of it and cheer up—he was probably more irritated for me than I was myself. lol
About 30 minutes before we reached to seaside town of Aberwistwith(sp?) , after a couple hours of endless meandering roadways and tiny one street villages, wooded forests, and mountainous fields dotted with sheep—the beautify of this place was so bilwildering it’s actually becomes maddeningly monotonous—he shared accounts of his life with me.
I think it was at the very edge of this town as we were driving into the first of several traffic circles that I realized I wanted that day to last forever.

Yeah, my vacation was uber awesome. lol
