rant: i hate cars

I have to buy a car. I really wish someone could just do it for me. I could tell them what I want, how much I want to pay and they would go find it for me and it would get great gas mileage and have a fabulous warranty and get me the best deal and I'd sign a piece of paper and they'd hand me the keys and it would all be done with.

I don't even like cars. There is not one car I can think of that I think is neat or cool or fun or in any worth spending $10,000+ on. I hate having to spend so much time and energy and money on something I hate having to depend on. And don't like in any way at ALL.

I hate cars.

i didn't buy a car until well into my adulthood, when others regarded me as a freak for having held out so long.

but now i love my car mushy can't imagine life without it anymore, even though i feel guilt about greenhouse emissions....

find someone who knows cars and hire them to inspect the vehicle you'rwe thinking of buying. or, buy a new car. the rates these days are really low...

good luck. i think you will find the quality of your life will improve immensely.

I hated it, too. Most car dealers I've dealt with over the years thought I was dumb because I was a chick.

Carrie, be ready to walk away. Car dealers try to wear you down so you'll buy anything because you are tired.

Also, don't let them sell you an extended warranty or undercoating or any other such nonsense.

I can live well for a few months without a car. It's just a bit stressful, the whole shopping for one thing. I am totally ready to walk away if it's not what I want/will pay for. I'm just worried my expectations are too difficult to meet. lol.

Emigrating is real easy. You could even apply for political asylum, stating you are from a dictatorship that tries to melt your brain with propaganda.

Serious.

i dont think your expectations are too high. At that price range there are many well built cars with great gas milage. I know i said mini, because its versatile in it people toting abilities, plus it the seats can fold down and haul furniture etc. But if thats not an issue consider a used TT. Excellent gas milage, or an A4. you can find all those in that price range.

My sister sold cars before she had kids. And there were a lot of people (women and gayz, especially) who only wanted to work with her because they knew she'd treat them fairly.

She made out like a bandit. Not because she ever took advantage of anyone - but because she got more "ups" off of referrals than her co-workers.

I always use www.cars.com or www.autotrader.com to you can enter in the make and model and the price range. my cars have always cost between 8-9000 with a full warranty so my payments have always been under $200. Check it out also research a car at www.consumerreports.com to give you a review and what customers say about that model of car they purchased!!! Good Luck!!! cool
