I LOVE Rosalind Russell. Auntie Mame and The Women are in my Top Ten favorite movies because of her. I wish someone would do a bad ass remake of The Women but I don't know who could play Rosalind's character Sylvia Fowler (Prowler) though.

I'm SCARED. I had no idea this was in production. It has to be done just right cuz The Women was really ahead of its time. At least they've got a diverse cast and some real acting heavy hitters along with some light weights. Might be kinda interesting. I'll have to wait and see.

I LOVED LOVED LOVED her in AUNTIE MAME!!!!! I have that shit on my DVR and watch it at least once or twice a month. I don't what the hell Lucille Ball was thinking when she did the musical version a few years later. That was a hot mess.

It was Marilyn Monroe that said it, "I love books, they're so decorative".....I'm paraphrasing. My best friend and I used to laugh at that part. My bad that line is from All About Eve. Nevermind. I think the girl that Patrick was going to marry said that shit. Mame kept calling her the Aryan from Derian (sp?). A funny part is when the fiance is telling a stupid story and she says, "And she stepped on the ball." in that lockjaw Connecticut dialect. A funny thing about that character is that the actress that played the fiance, Joanna Barnes said the SAME line in the remake of Parent Trap where she plays the golddiggers mother. Ironically, she played the golddigger in the original Parent Trap.
