Has a Family Member Ever Tried To Set You Up On A Blind Date?

When I was 18 some light years ago, my mother informed me that she was going to set me up on a blind date with a guy who, at that time, was a member of the Armed Forces.

After she informed me I said "mom, I don't want to be set up with someone in the military. I don't want to end up married and moving from place to place. I am not interested."

My mom was eek at my response. She was speechless lol

Many times.

I had some fun.
Studies have shown the ass crack of the average Prince fan to be abnormally large. This explains the ease and frequency of their panties bunching up in it.

My brother had implied that he wanted me to get to know one of his friends that I had met once before. I had heard stories about this guy and his ex-girlfriend tying their kid to the bed when they wanted to go out drinking. I asked my brother if he wanted me to date the guy that tied his kid up to the bed because he didn't want to pay a babysitter. My brother's response was "Well, he doesn't do that anymore." eek

I told him that I wouldn't want to date a guy that would EVER do something like that. That's not just a use of bad judgment. When he was doing that he had to have known it was wrong. I can't believe my brother was going to dismiss this as a "he sees the errors of his ways now" thing.

It's safe to say that I would never date anyone my brother tries to set me up with. What a bonehead!

Nope!
I remember before I met Dean so I was 15 and the guy across the road asked me out...
Now first off he was about 20ish, overweight, pretty unattractive and kinda had the personality of a wet rag.....but he was friendly enough....
So I'm standing there...not wanting to be mean or hurt his feelings by saying no redface and so I told um I will have to check with my mum (knowing full well she would say ur not going out with a 20 year old) ...well so I friggin thought ....he wanders over with me and mum says sure you can eek eek eek eek (4 some damn reason I think she knew there would be no way in hell anything would happen with him so she said yes mad )
Boy did I tell her off when he left .....needless to say I ended up having to hurt his feelings neutral

Me and my wife have hooked up two relatives. These are the success stories:

My sister in law was hooked up with a friend of a friend. We arranged for them
to meet at our place before they would go on a date. We lived in between their
homes so it was considered to be neutral ground. biggrin

My sister in law had asked me to bring her home at about midnight. She had
planned to end the date by then. When he came to pick her up the first reaction
on her face was like: "Yikes" sad hmmm

We offered them a cup of coffee before they would go out, but she refused. She
said something like: "Let’s go and get it over with". And they went into the
city for some dinner.

I waited for her to call me to bring her home...
At 01:00, still nothing...
At 02:00, still nothing...
At 03:00, still nothing, so I went to bed. I figured she could still call me
and, he had a car to bring her home also.

Next day, we heard the story:
They had been talking in a bar until closing time, went to her place in his car
as he would drop her off, kept on talking until 07:00 in the morning. Then she
went inside to go to sleep. Couldn’t sleep, called him in the car, on his cell
phone and talked until about 10:00 in the morning. eek Then they went to sleep...

That was about two year ago. They are living together now and are expecting
their first child in September. thumbs up!

And another story:
My father in law is divorced as he found out to be gay during his
marriage. He’s in his seventies now and hadn’t been lucky with any
relationships.

My wife was working at an Elderly home at the time where he was a volunteer
working in the gardens. Now there was another guy that regularly visited that
place to take an old lady for a walk in those gardens. He had just lost his
male partner.

My wife though they would make a great couple but they were never there on the
same day. Until that day when there was a fair or something to collect money
for the home. My wife told my father in law to take that man and the old lady
for a walk in the gardens. wink They had a very good time and decided to have some
dinner together (the three of them).

During that dinner, the two men were talking so much that the old lady
said: "Next time you two go on a date without me". smile And that started their
relationship. They have been in a happy relationship for three years now.

So, these are my success stories lol

My grandmother tried to.

She came to my high school graduation. And after the graduation when everyone was outside talking and what not, I go to look for her and she is in front of the building trynna pimp me off.
I went over there and told her my mother wanted her so she said by to him and gave him a hug and walked away.

Thankfully, I knew the guy. His name was Hector and he was fine as hell!
(Grandma got taste) I asked him what they were talking about and he said "ur grandmother congratulated me on the graduation and asked if I knew u. I told her yeah that we were friends so she asked if i'd like to come to dinner with y'all" hmm

He ended up coming with us so my grandma thought she did something.
But he was a jock and dated almost every girl in the school including 3 of my friends so it wasnt gonna happen. I told her that. She said "hey well i tried".
