I had bought a Zune but returned it and the biggest reason, aside from Anx spooking me, was the volume. The volume on the Zune is absolutley horrific. Too low, even at the full setting of 20. But even though I only converted 1 and a half gigs, my bag is about 7 pounds lighter! Sounds good!!! I have no problems with my volume, i love the zume. the ipod was to much hassle to load I don't know about this Zune thing. I took it out of the box and it's only an 8 gigabyte. That doesn't seem like it will hold very many songs. Although on their website it says that will be up to 2000 songs (if each song is a WMA file and approximately 4 minutes). I wonder how many Prince songs I have... And does the Zune use mp3s? Or do I have to use WMA files? . [Edited 7/7/08 17:32pm]

The new version of winamp will recognize your i pod.And will arrange your mp3's in the correct order.

Hi Sweetie ~ you have to go in and rename them. Otherwise something like Prince with George Clinton will sort itself apart instead of staying on the proper album. There is a thread about it. I'll seek it out and post for you. You will LOVE it once you find your way through the labyrinth Music is the language of the spirit. See if anything here helps.
http://prince.org/msg/8/269293 It eats up a lot of time but to carry around thousands of songs in a little magik box is just incredible to me. No matter what your mood, desire, or location, your wish is it's command. Music is the language of the spirit. It opens the secret of life bringing peace, abolishing strife. --Kahlil Gibran

The new version of winamp will recognize your i pod.And will arrange your mp3's in the correct order. I have figured this out!!!!! When you do "control A" to select all the songs from yo10th songur harddrive to drag and drop into the itunes, whatever point you select from is the point where it begins. for example, if you highlight all but drag from the 10th song in, it will begin in itunes on the 10th song! So always drag from the first song and you're all good! Oh yeah, a fierce bitches mixes are in there 2010: Healing the Wounds of the Past.... http://prince.org/msg/8/325740

I have my iTunes configured in a way so that it doesn't do anything automatically (I hate that!).....I find it to be the easiest music-interface to work with, very straight forward! Yay to Apple.....once again!
