I just got a Zune--for free (from a work thing)! And my friend's sister found an iPod in the Bahamas. They tried to email the owner (his email was on the back) but it bounced back saying the email was no longer valid, so she is going to give it to me! I'd rather have the iPod than the Zune, but am worried about the karma attached to having someone else's iPod. Although they did try to return it... Not sure which one I'll keep.

I LOVED the screen for the Zune. Bigger than the ipod but someone spooked me and I traded it in 2010: Healing the Wounds of the Past.... http://prince.org/msg/8/325740

Can't figure out how to create folders on the ipod so I'm creating all my mixes and albums as Playlists to keep them separated.
Also, noting that when you drag the songs into Itunes converter thing, it doesn't always keep them in order 2010: Healing the Wounds of the Past.... http://prince.org/msg/8/325740

Now it won't let me arrange the order of the songs so I'm having to convert one by one to keep the order they are supposed to be in! 2010: Healing the Wounds of the Past.... http://prince.org/msg/8/325740

I had the same problem and it drove me CRAZY! You have to rename things ~ not a problem when you know all the song titles but I have some obscure stuff I want to keep straight. How many songs do you have on there? Have you named it yet? jk. the kids where I work name their mp3 players. It's funny and they get pretty creative. Music is the language of the spirit. I really should turn this into a question and answer thread
I have my ipod plugged into the computer and I have the itunes interface open but it does not recognize my ipod on the itunes program. If you go to "my computer", the ipod drive shows up and is recognized. When I used the computer at home, it automatically recognized my ipod. Is there a way to help the program recognize that my ipod is there? 2010: Healing the Wounds of the Past.... http://prince.org/msg/8/325740

YAY YAY AND JUST YAY!!!!! yeah!!! but zume's are so much easier to manage You know what? I spent about 12 hours over the weekend trying to get computers working, uploading music and I only converted 1.4 gigs. I had bought a Zune but returned it and the biggest reason, aside from Anx spooking me, was the volume. The volume on the Zune is absolutley horrific. Too low, even at the full setting of 20. But even though I only converted 1 and a half gigs, my bag is about 7 pounds lighter! 2010: Healing the Wounds of the Past.... http://prince.org/msg/8/325740

Also, when I drag and drop the music into the itunes program and it converts the songs, it doesn't always keep the songs in the same order! How do I correct that so I don't constantly have to rearrange the order? 2010: Healing the Wounds of the Past.... http://prince.org/msg/8/325740
