This sounds sooooo old fashioned, we were introduced. Yep, I was only 12, and I was going to be in my sister's wedding, and I was real shy to have an usher escort me down the aisle. My future brother inlaw say's "my bestfriends brother is really shy also, we can ask him to be your escort" ("chambelan" for my spanish speaking friends) He was 16, and as shy as hell. No we did not date, or even hook up, we just walked down the aisle together. Thing is, we kept bumping in to eachother through the years, and we will have been married 25 years in August! eek My sister and brother inlaw, are still married also cloud9

I had a longtime friend who was dating a longtime friend of hers. Apparently, they thought she and I shared many of the same quirks, politics, taste in music, etc. They introduced us as "Christmas presents" to one-another smile ...and we hit it off.
