I'm the latest casualty from the music biz.... I think some of you were aware that I work at EMI / Captiol here in LA (at the Captiol Tower) and last week there were many that were laid off. Myself included. I agreed to stay on for a final week to help with the transisition and today is my last day. I gotta say this may be the best time. I dont know what will happen next year. Seems the industry gets smaller and smaller in head count as the days go by. But I had an awesome 7 years here and they took care of me as I wont have to look for another job right away. I can relax, breathe and figure out what my next career will be!
Anyway just wanted to share! It's a happy day y'all! New horizons begin! peace Every minute of last night is on my face today.... | |

I'm moving out of LA (never my cup of tea here) and back to Phoenix, Arizona (my hometown) and figure things out. I'm excited to move in with my brother who said he would not charge me rent for couple months to build a financial cushion that I hardly had here. It will be so nice not to pay upwards of $1150 for an old ass 1 bedroom apartment without air conditioning.!!!!! Every minute of last night is on my face today.... | |

Good luck for the future x I never met them but last year when their album came out they would hang out in our courtyard and walk their dogs and say hi to passers by. I was never one to go up to artists but I did get to see many interesting people from a distance. The best was seeing Barry Manilow scarf down a tostada salad from our cafe in our courtyard all dressed up like he was in Vegas but it was noon! Every minute of last night is on my face today.... | |
