cool! love making sand sculptures on the beach, but i usually get sunburned long before i can create anything truly groovy

Wow, the detail on those sculptures is amazing! omg I remember when my family and I vacationed at Siesta Key about 7 years back. There was an older gentlemen who would sculpt things in the sand, but nothing like the pictures you just showed us. smile

they last about 2 to 3 months. They use special river sand that is less rounded than the usual grain you find on the beach so it sticks together better. Rain doesn't affect the sculptures much. Of course there's people on-site that maintain the sculptures.
