I wasn't completely let down by Batman Begins. The Scarecrow was done rather well; I liked what they did with the character.

You can tell Nolan respects comic books and comic book writers. There's no need to rewrite the characters when there's so much great source material to work from. Nolan used 'The Killing Joke' and the early Batman stories for his Joker. This movie is a can't-miss.

We'll see. I like The Killing Joke, but I don't like its ultimate effect on Batman or the DC universe as a whole.

it's actually one of my favourite comics, maybe my number one favourite and I always thought they should have made a film of it or used elements to make a film out of it.

They should refer to Frank Miller's Two-Face story from The Return of the Dark Knight graphic novels to get the character right. It was in #2, I think. Classic story.

I saw The Dark Knight at 11:30am that's AM, on Friday. I thought it was pretty good! Heath Ledger was a much better Joker than Jack Nicholson. I'll hold off on promoting him for an Oscar until I see what the fall has in store, though. Christian Bale is a perfect Bruce Wayne. The other characters were all used well. And the make-up artist deserves an Oscar!
