just finished Twilight. why is there so much buzz about that book, can someone enlighten me? it's pretty dull and predictable, imo, and isn't even well-written.

Wait, do we have a Superman and a Suprman on this board? And they seem to have different political views. This is going to be like a Superman/Superman-Prime battle.
Anyway, this is what I'm reading.

All sorts of theoretical art history b.s. about Louise Bourgeois in prepartation for the Bourgeois exhibition that opens Friday at the Guggenheim.
specifically: "Sculptural Confrontations" (Alex Potts) followed by: "Old Bones & Cocktail Dresses: Louise Bourgeois & the Question of Age" (Griselda Pollock) then: "Posing the Phallus" (Mignon Nixon) and: "Louise Bourgeois' Retroactive Politics of Gender" (Ann Gibson) finishing with: "Bad Enough Mother" (Mignon Nixon, again) And that's not including all the readings I've already trudged through for the past 3 weeks. Freudian slip edit: theoretical, not theorectal [Edited 6/24/08 14:36pm]

He smeared a little of the vaseline he's been using to screw the constitution up the ass on the camera lens. It has a softening effect.

Since my head is on vacation right now, fiction is working for me. Ended up getting "Bloodchild" this weekend and have almost completed it. It was just what I needed.

He also has that Troll Doll hair. It'd be fun to spin him back and forth real quick to see what happens to it. And it looks like he was shot through the same Vaseline and gauze lens that they use for Barbara Walters on The View.

I'm still plodding through Cyber Rights - Defending Free Speech in the Digital Age by Mike Godwin. That's so I can follow discussions around here on P's IP rights battles:) Nearly finished.
Just started We the media - Grassroots Journalism by the People, for the People by Dan Gilmor. Not unlike what you guys-Orgers are doing in Politics&Religion - without having had the need to read this book, huh! Efan, if you are still around, you might like The Literary Journalists - The New Art of Personal Reportage, edited by Norman Sims. Well, I'm just guessing.
