Shropshire eh? That means it was a cluster of sheep and the corporal was pissed lying on the grass upside down when he filmed them.

The same thread was made on another forum I went to and besides the sightings being discovered to be chinese lanterns let go at a party, this is what a member there had to say :
The mathematical probability of intelligent life on another planet is pretty slim.
When you think that we arrived here through evolution, and chance. Now, what are the chances of such a thing occuring on another planet? The right conditions, the right mutations, the right evolutionary path? More : Right.
Because superior beings that have the technology to travel at the speed of light want to come to Earth...just to meddle with us. ...or draw crop circles... ...or anal probe you... ...or abduct you and experiment on you... ...or whatever other theory some dumb redneck goes on about... Because, clearly, that's what superior beings do...is act like kids. If there ARE aliens, and they traveled along a similar evolutionary path, more than likely they are far from having the technology to travel to us at this point in their lives, similar to us not being able to reach very far past our own planet... They may have gotten down traveling through small distances in space, but it's less likely they've mastered light, or faster than light, speed travel... IF they have mastered this, it's even LESS likely that they would stumble across our planet... since there are so many star systems out there... So yes, the possibility is there, but the probability is not

From what I've heard, they let the 'beast' have its day, in order to gain momentum.
Then they kill it, by handing it just enough rope. ~Under lock and key*
