Okay so what do I write when I email him back? "A drink sounds great, give me a call sometime: 777-9311." <--not my real number, unfortunately. lol

Yup.

Sounds good to me. 2-3 sentences tops!

Okay, I wrote the email based on what you all said, but I am too chicken to send it. boxed It has been in my "draft" folder all morning. I will send it later....maybe.

hmmm Ooooh, I like this idea. That puts the ball back into his court. I hate being the one who has to make decisions when other people are involved (indecisive Gemini hazard).

Although maybe he is not interested because he did have my email too; but I am the one that emailed him first. Plus he works for a very big, well-known finance company in New York, those types are always trying to "network" with people (although I have nothing to offer business wise).

I guess if he calls, I'll just look at it as free alcohol! woot! lol

Stop thinking about it too much.

lol

How do you not think about it?

It's pretty simple really.

I'm with Erin - you can't really tell which way he's leaning BUT he probably wouldn't have suggested meeting again if he wasn't at least curious. Go out w/ him, see where it goes, don't get too excited (unless the evening warrants some excitement) lol smile
heart prince I never met you, but I LOVE you & I will forever!! Thank you for being YOU - my little Princey, the best to EVER do it prince heart

I've been out on a bunch of "non-date dates"
and they usually lead to great friendships

...but hey, you never know. Maybe you guys will click and the next time out will be a date-date smile

I've never been on non-date dates with guys I've just met.

I find it difficult to believe that a guy would actively pursue a woman just to be their friend.

I think ssb's "overthinking it" comment was directed at me, not you.

Thats how I met most of my guy friends...
by them just casually saying, something like "hey wanna get lunch tomorrow?"
or something like that after meeting at school or at work.
If you will, so will I

Almost all of my female friends are women in which I've been interested at first and for some reason or another things didn't work out. Maybe your guy friends were interested in you and you didn't know it?

Are you sure he's not doing that "I have to wait 3 1/4 days to call her." thing?
It's so silly to me.

Thanks. I didn't want to say that & sound conceited, but I won't disagree with you. wink (Was the Nikka Costa concert last night? How was it?)

Maybe, but I emailed him about a week ago. Maybe he didn't want to call that weekend (too soon) and now this weekend is Independence Day. (Although dates don't have to be on weekends, either...) I suppose there's still a chance, but whatever. Easy come, easy go. arrow
