I got blocked by someone on eBay

and I don't know why cry and nobody will tell me

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Cl...638Q2em122

I wanted to buy this robot, desperately
but this vendor cancelled my bid without explanation, and won't let me bid on any of their listings or answer my message asking why.

Why? :confuse

bawl

maybe he has you confused with someone else?

or maybe...

...his robot is an evil tool that he put onto eBay in the hopes that the one person who he wants to destroy will bid on it and is blocking all other bids so that the evil robot won't accidentally go to the wrong person.

I once was blocked by a seller, but the blocking turned out to have only been an honest mistake and the seller was very apologetic about the situation.

How much time has passed since you messaged the seller who blocked you?

I have never seen them in an actual shop where I live sad
The last one on eBay went for way too much,
this one looks like it will be under what I am prepared to pay.
There are robots that just wind up that don't take a d-cell battery in each leg, but I don't want one of those disbelief

I used to love Ebay....but then there were a lot of dodge people who put negative feedback on me for no good reason, I mean I paid them the day after I won the items etc. Some people are just assholes, plain and simple

that maybe be why,

one you are out of the country, which raises suspicion for me typically, wh is gonna pay almost 40 us dollars for shipping

you have only three purchases and only one feed back.

typically in a case like this they either state in the listing 'no one with less than 10 feed back', 'no one with zero feedback', OR 'email me first before you bid if you have less than 5 or ten feedback' .
or 'no bids from people with more than one negative feedback'.
just email him/her again and tell them you want to bid and that you are a legit bidder. tell him what you just told me about the specifics of the robot and why you wnat this one. nod

as a seller you cannot leave negative feedback for a buyer anymore.

I was very surprised when I learned of that new policy, which I think is unfair and a poorly thought out idea.

it says in the rules the vendor must let the buyer know the reason for cancellation, and if blocking them, sending a reason via email - it suggests you could block someone if you have made attempts to find out the identity of a buyer, which they did not, and if they are someone who has backed out of purchases before, which I have not.
This person "ships worldwide" blocking me because I live overseas makes no sense confuse if they wonder why I would pay that much in postage, they should know stuff like that costs a fortune here after someone has bothered importing it.
I have sent this person 2 messages already, stating how disappointed I am, since this is exactly what I am looking for sad

eBay feels too many buyers were apprehensive about leaving honest feedback for sellers out of fear of retaliatory (negative) feedback. While there is some truth to that, I personally don't think disallowing sellers of leaving buyers neutral or negative feedback is going to pan out.

Many shady buyers are already exploiting the new policy, and many sellers are already looking for other places to sell in lieu of eBay.

as seller i think its bs too.
but im sick of the whole concept of ebay all together.
charging your ass for everything.
apparently some auto traders started a new site similar to ebay auto, but they only charge just for listing like you would the news paper. and not for every little item on the listing either.
the idea of ebay was good at first but now they screwed it all up .

I agree with you on all points.

eBay is destroying itself from the inside out. I've heard predictions it will collapse completely within the next couple of years.
