It's about family pulling together and being happy, and my best friend not understanding why I don't want his TV, his car, his house on a secluded estate, and his open relationship and all the mistresses. Thanks for sharing. I can kind of relate in an indirect way. My oldest friend and I are confronting a lot of the ways in which we've grown in vastly different directions. She seems to have a harder time accepting me and my directions than I do with hers. My best friend here and I have never been alike and it's never been a normal relationship. He was married to Mon, for one thing, and then her sister (which is when I first met him). How we became best friends I don't really know. We're 14 years apart in age too (he's 40). Our latest trouble has been about him having a handful of women on the side he sleeps with and gets gifts from. His wife knows and he says she's cool with it. They have a one year old baby boy together. It's so alien to my thinking about being in a relationship but I said if he's happy then I'm happy but that I didn't need to hear about it all the time, which set him off. I'm so much happier when I'm just spending time with Mon's family.

Wow x 2. (which is when I first met him). How we became best friends I don't really know. We're 14 years apart in age too (he's 40).

I want him to be happy. It'd be the last piece of the puzzle, but I'm not going to get so involved anymore. He was a good guy with good intentions with Mon and I understand why it didn't work out. Things changed, or rather he did, with Mon's sister, but I really thought he'd found the right one for him this time around. There are no grudges here anymore. Mon's happy, her sister has a great boyfriend and is over in Switzerland now having the best time of her life. He just seems to be fucking things up again with his new wife and I'm not going to be there to validate his every fuck-up. . [Edited 6/22/08 19:03pm]

Erin is an amazing lady: smart, savvy, witty, articulate, no-nonsense, gorgeous.
She also possesses a very kind heart, and more than one time she's extended it my way - and for that, I'm appreciative and touched. You have my admiration and adoration always, Miss FunkMistress.

Ex-Moderator | She's GORGEOUS!
And has a lovely speaking voice with such a cute little lilt and purr I'm sure everyone who meets her falls instantly in love with her. And backs it up with a kick-ass attitude and is genuinely nice to boot. |
