JessieJ said: Families That really sucks about your friend
The thing with me is, I'd love to have a boyfriend right now. I've been single for about a year and a half and it was fun, but I'm ready for a relationship already. I just can't find someone! This past weekend, I threw a bridal shower for my younger sister. My relatives were all, "Wait, she's the youngest and your ass ain't married yet? What is that about?!! Why don't YOU have a boyfriend? " and I was all "I dunno ". These muthafuckas wouldn't shut up about it. This is why I avoid most of my relatives. I don't think there's anything wrong with being single, but they make me feel really bad about it. It does suck for my friend. He has problems finding someone too and has given up now. He calls himself a homophobic homosexual. Families really don't know when enough is enough. You must've really had a difficult day at the shower. I must have been asked if I had a boyfriend about 10 or 15 times this weekend and when I'd say that I don't, they'd ask why . How the hell are you supposed to answer something like that?
I'm surprised my family doesnt bug me like that about me not being married yet at 30 Rhythm floods my heart♥The melody it feeds my soul

I'm surprised my family doesnt bug me like that about me not being married yet at 30 Funny story about dating/getting married: At my brother's wedding (forget which one), my sisters-in-law, mother and I were standing around talking. They looked and me, kind of pointed, and said, "You're next!" I said in response, "I'm in NO hurry to get married! Don't look at me!" They have never said anything more about it. Sometimes you just have to learn to put your foot down and stop the nonsense before it gets out of hand. My family knows that I'm very happy being single, and they don't DARE to ask me why I'm not dating somebody. RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

I'm surprised my family doesnt bug me like that about me not being married yet at 30 The trend that I've noticed in my family is that people either get married really young, like between 19 and 24 or they never get married. So because I'm 23, they're all over me trying to find out what's up. The party went on until about 1:30 in the morning, but I left around 11:30 because I couldn't take anymore questions. I really don't get what they expect me to say. My one uncle kept saying "Jessie, why don't you have a boyfriend?". How am I supposed to know? I just don't! He wouldn't accept it I think that it also has to do with the fact that since I've started dating, I never stayed single for long once one relationship ended, but for them, it's been a really long time since they've seen me with someone else. I'll probably hear more of this at the wedding.

My family mainly bugs me about when I'm going to have a baby!!!! I don't really want to have one to be honest. My younger brother is married w/ 3 kids so the fam likes to give me crap about that. OMG! That is so true! I look back at the old year books and they look all grown compared to my year! We got some people in my senior class who still look like junior high! You know we all holdin' our age well. Lawd, times sure do change. I'm 30, not married, no kids and wondering if I should just call this job a career.
