I think it's high time Depp and Waters worked together again... Who's for it? I'm not thinking like Crybaby pt. 2, I'm thinking something more along the lines of Pink Flamingos. Think they'd go for it?
I ask because personally, I'm starting to get tired of the 12 year-old crowd that's all over Depp's ass because of the Pirates franchise and that's all they know of his work. Put him in something that'll spook them and their WASPmommies away from the Deppster a while. C'mon, kids! I'll start the petition! "A Watcher scoffs at gravity!"

apples and oranges. burton's work is based on design and waters' films are based on satire. it would be like comparing "the lion king" and "who's afraid of virginia woolf" - sure, they're both plays, but to compare them would be more than a little silly.

Why? I see comparisons, they're both pretty much odd-balls!

That's what I like abot him.....he even worked with fucking Roman Polanski! Me too! I mentioned this on the Depp b-day thread, but I love that he's willing and able to work with so many directors and genres, even if he does favour Burtonism. "A Watcher scoffs at gravity!"

I'd love for Depp to team up with John Waters again!
As for Burton - I like Depp, I like Burton, I like Depp and Burton together..but I agree that those two would benefit from a break from one another. Burton seems to have become dependent on JD in terms of the casting his films and he needs to branch out, explore, see what he might be missing by fixating on JD. I'm sure Johnny would understand.

i'd like to see johnny depp work with werner herzog. they're both crazy. i think depp could almost be like his new klaus kinski, without the tantrums and constant death threats.

Fuck Johny Depp.
I'd like to see Prince work with either of them. That bitch needs the movie career boost more than Johnny does. Of course, Guy Richi couldn't save Madonna, so maybe I'm fantasizing.

Are you saying they should start seeing other people?!?!?! It would be a beautifully tragic, and would probably provide Tim with great creative inspiration as he channels his heartbreak into his art. Hot Topic would, of course, get all merchandising rights to the separation.
