I'm finishing GTA IV tonight and dusting off the PS3 for Wed night.

Hopefully it still works. It's been a paperweight since I bought it at launch.

I might even play a bit of Metal Gear Solid just to get ready.

I can't remember the last time I played my PS2. But I can say that original MGS for PlayStation was one of the most enjoyable games I've ever played.

This is one of the very few games that makes me want to get a PS3...but since they have gimped it with the crappy 40 gig model I really don't know if I can be bothered with it...unless I can get my hands on a 60 or 80 gig model for cheap, which doesn't seem likely

Holy crap.

I've only played a couple hours, so I can't give a full review, but holy crap.

When I'm not marveling at how beautiful the game is I am being blown away by the story. If I detailed just how frighteningly close to where our reality is headed this game is, the thread would have to go to P&R.

No shit, this story was written years ago and it is so relevant today. Anyone with a PS3 should check this game out.

I found this odd. Anyone else have this happen?

In the Act 2 Mission Briefing, right after Mei Ling is mentioned, all of the monitors start showing pics of her in her underwear. It continues for the rest of the briefing. I thought it was odd, even for Kojima-san.

Just finished it this morning. Loved every minute of it, except for when I died haha. It's real rewarding if you have been a fan of the seires for a long time, there's a lot of references to past games.
