UPDATE: At 5:00 today, he had someone remotely "wipe" my BlackBerry. It's my personal phone, but since it was connected to our company email server, we had the capability to remotely wipe out all data and send a phone back to factory settings. All my saved contacts, pictures, saved text messages, settings, everything, gone.
I could have taken any number of retaliatory measures against him and his company, as I was the administrator for ALL his computer systems. I didn't. I even left my email mailboxes intact so that they could have access to all my correspondence and carry out all the work I was doing. Then this. I wasn't considering legal action, even though I wasn't paid properly, until this. A dear Org friend just gave me some very sound advice that I'm going to take tomorrow morning. This wasn't planned out on my part; if it had been, I would have removed my phone from the system before I left and before he had all the admin passwords changed, which he did soon after I left. It's one thing to lose contacts, you might be able to rebuild those, but pictures. I only have an old school palm pilot, but I sync it with my laptop so I have a back up...do you have a back up for your Blackberry? Good luck.

I wasn't thinking, though; I was just PISSED. I'm in a similar scenario .... I've been pissed with my boss for the past 2 years but responsibilities (kids, wife, mortgage ... the works) wouldn't allow me to get up and leave just like that ( ) . I resigned last month after finding another job and suggested I'd leave September 30th (different reasons on my side for that long period). They never reacted and 2 days ago they're stirring up shit because they may want me to leave earlier. Ok for me-o, but if they WANT that then they're gonna pay the difference (wage, car, benefits) for the period they don't want to employ me any longer. I checked with union and apparently that's legal. We'll see how it goes. However that stress is bad for me bosses ... it seems like they all grow them in one place and then scatter them around the world

Yeah, Mon's mellowed out quite a bit this last year or two, but when I feel horny I can still incite her into a murderous rage and lure her into some angry sex.

I feel sorry for people like him. Just miserable and inside very insecure and self loathing. THey over compensate by abusing people. Very miserable man, I'd also imagine if he does not have health issues, they are on the way too.
That miserable ness is toxic. It will kill you. You are a better person for walking away from it. You will be fine. I am rooting for you too. I walked away from a toxic job too and am looking for a better paying job than the one I got in a hurry. You can do it!

That miserable ness is toxic. It will kill you. Exactly. That's what I try to remind myself of when I feel like I want vengeance: that people like him are already suffering more than I'll ever know, and I don't need to add to the misery. I just need to move forward and continue trying to create happiness. The Normal Whores Club
