I can't remember the last time I was this happy to be me.

EVERYTHING just shines brighter lately.

I was woken up this morning at 6am by hearing this over a loudspeaker/megaphone thingy:

"This is the police! Come out with your hands up!"

~pause~

"We can see you in the house; come out with your hands up!"

Repeated about 4 times, then it just stopped. Apparently someone was apprehended in my neighborhood this morning. I have no idea what was going on. I couldn't see anything out my apartment windows. Must have been going on on the other side of the building.
