Hey, sweetheart! hug

Been off all week. Getting ready for summer classes (Monday), and finishing burning CDs for Father's Day. My dad had a bunch of music stolen and I'm replacing his library as a secret. Just finished everything Neil Young has ever done (neutral) and have all the Hendrix, Who, Clapton, and Zeppelin finished. As far as I know, I just have some random greatest hits shit to go and after that, I'm never burning another CD in my life. dead It's taken this whole week.

Went to lunch with some former co-workers and we spent the entire two hours talking about the best memories of our fathers. Out of the five of us, only two of us hadn't lost our dads. The stories were so touching I couldn't help but shed many tears. Tales of simple things--fishing, spending a day at work with them, learning to hit a baseball, being chased around the house, it was all cheesy stuff, but it made us all realize that none of us were recalling the times when our dads plunked down several hundred on the latest video game console or bike (or whatever's appropriately expensive for your generation). It was all the small stuff that was most poignant.

hug I've really got to find a way to more frequently appreciate my loved ones while they're still here. heart To all the dads reading this. Sorry for being so sappy.
Oh shit, my hat done fell off

I had planned on going to some garage sales but now that's there's only one way to get where I'm going, traffic is going to be a son of a bitch. I think I'll stay my ass at home.

4 miles of garage saleing at the 27th Annual Park Point Rummage Sales (World's 2nd longest freshwater sandbar right in the middle of this pic, before the darker blue water. . .)

the sales go from just past where it says "Duluth" all the way to just shy of where the gray (concrete of the small airport) starts.

Jenna & I are going with my niece who just passed her board exams to officially become an RN!

hey Sir hug I had been trying to stay away from the coffee

Ha check this out! Quite by accident I have one 12oz glass per day myself! mr.green Quite by accident I myself moderated it.

I could use another beautiful smile from you!

PS...

Was looking for something in documents and my mother saw your pics you sent me. ( The 2 blond pics before you went public. Mom has always had a thing for looking souls in the eye and telling their soul to me. ( Made my sister nuts when she'd announce so and so is shifty and will do you know good, I promise you.)

Anyyyyywwwwwhhhhhooooo she looked at you and said awwww what a handsome young man Karen, who is this. smile

WOW. clapping I am so proud of her (AND YOU, as you're one of the main reasons she is who she is!). What an exciting bittersweet moment for you. hug I simply can't fathom what made the time pass as fast as it has, but never mind that. lol Thanks so much for sharing those great shots.

Is she headed for the city, or elsewhere in the Bay?

grouphug Sigh. I hope you're handling this event better than I would. lol It just gets me so teary to see my friends' youngsters cross thresholds like these.
