In the OP, substitute any other personal descriptor for "gay," and you begin to see how erroneous it can be to invest in stereotypes. "Are redheads as 'together' as they make it seem on tv?" for example... Reba! Okay,back to topic. A lot of times they seem to be, they seem to work harder at it.
