What are some simple ways to gain weight...I tried cytogainer, but it didn't work. Now I'm thinking of adding lots of butter and salt to my food. Is this a bad idea? I'm desperate. Maybe I can drink or pour a little bit of cooking oil on my food. neutral

Why do you want to gain weight?

eat starchy foods like potatoes and drink a Boost w/Protein behind every meal. they add 350 calories in addition to your meal. (the walmart store brand is just as good and a lot cheaper, like $5 for 6 cans)

good luck.

Anyway, DON'T do it with increased fat intake and definitely not salt. Increased salt won't make you gain permanent weight so much as retain water (which is uncomfortable)... and it's AWFUL for your cardiovascular health!

Consider increasing your protein intake.

ok, thanks. I'm trying to gain weight because I feel like the only skinny person in the u.s. I only see a few skinny people. Everyone else is normal. I just want to gain 10 to 15 pounds...maybe 20.

bad reasons! you may feel like the only slender person around, but trust me...there's a good chuck of ppl out here that would love to be naturally fit like you...People will put you down, but thats mostly jealousy

Just focus on being healthy and fit. Build some more muscle tone, but don't just try to pack on some fat (unless your doctor tells you too)

Thats just silly....and I only say this cause I care heart lol
If you will, so will I

And you post this on a PRINCE fan site! lol C'mon, what about him, doesn't he count for anything:)?!

But seriously now, the magic recipe if you want to build more body mass is increased protein intake combined with weightlifting. For faster effect, it's best to eat the proteins before training.
Can't go wrong with this method!

If you're bony-looking, putting on fat isn't a bad thing. I know when I didn't have enough fat on my body I looked terrible. Bony shoulders, not enough tits, ass or curves at all. Ten or so pounds of fat did me good.

TBH, Im on the same diet for the gym though as i need to gain weight to turn it into muscle.

Eat: Pasta, Brown Rice, Wholemeal Bread, Granary Bread, Oats (eat fuckin loads of these) and balance it out with Chicken, Red Meat and Tuna as it'll give you protein too. Its working for me. 6 pounds in three weeks baby cool

Hopefully you won't do it in an extremely unhealthy way. I say up your protein (meat, protein shakes), eat late & night & sit on the couch a lot - that should do it eek

boyfriend is very slim. And I'm thick in the waist and cute in the face! lol

Since I moved in, he has put on what I've lost. He basically eats breakfast now, a biscuit and yogurt (he almost never ate breakfast) and I cook every night. He used to just come home and have cereal. He also does the sweets or ice cream before bed. He also eats late and I hade to get out of that habit.

Seriously, are you eating all your meals?

Did that help?....

It's not the healthiest way, but it worked. I really needed it at the time, I had lost a bunch of weight and was feeling very drained.

I also stopped running so I wouldn't burn away the fuel.

I did get a little softer, too, which I wasn't so crazy about, but I feel better!

Eat more food, and drink your calories, but try not to load up on fats and refined sugars...even slender people can get high blood pressure and diabetes (though it is less likely)

more protein I think is probably the best way, add protein powder to smoothies, and try to eat more lean protein in addition to your diet

why are you doing this anyway??

even if you are small, its unlikely that you are underweight

thanks, yes I am underweight...this lady makes fun of me at work...even calls me "arms"...because I'm skinny. sad Yeah, high blood pressure and diabetes run in my family.

I am underweight myself, but I like the way I look. Although I must say that when I was in the USA I felt a lot skinnier than here, so I understand why you said that about feeling like the only skinny person in the US. Sure sometimes people assume that I only eat salad, but I don't care and I am happy that I can eat whatever I want without hardly gaining weight at all. I consider myself lucky and I don't think it's exactly healthy to eat loads of butter in order to gain weight. I think it's a lot harder to be overweight and be ridiculed than underweight. Do you think you would look better if you were more curvy?
With a very special thank you to Tina: Is hammer already absolute, how much some people verändern...ICH hope is never so I will be! And if, then I hope that I would then have wen in my environment who joins me in the A....
