goddamn car problems

just put $85 worth of gas in the fucker...then with 4 days of 95+ degree days, my engine manifold goes bad--$900, parts and labor. mad

and i get paid next week.

and i work 25 miles from home.

I wonder what they meant by "manifold went bad" did they give you any more information. Intake or exhaust, what exactly went wrong. What type of car do you have?

I wonder what they meant by "manifold went bad" did they give you any more information. Intake or exhaust, what exactly went wrong. What type of car do you have?


i have a 2000 oldsmobile silhouette mv. he says it's the intake manifold. the POS started overheating yesterday and then again this morning, going hot in less than 15 minutes. the part is $350, the labor might come in at around 7 hours. hopefully it will come in closer to $750 or 800

The V6? the olds v6's from around then are known for this. The part price seams sort of high, usually it's just the gasket. I guess it could need the whole intake if it warped or something. Sorry to hear it happened.
