This is actually the third woman murdered in the city in 8 days. One was a murder suicide. One was the rape and beating death that happened across the street from my house and then this one a few blocks away.

I'm not a chicken shit by nature but I can't deny that I am on edge at night.

I probably wouldn't be as freaked out if the night before the rape/murder someone didn't try to get into my house while I was home alone. I'm actually still super nervous about that whole situation.

Hard to relax and I've only spent one night at home since Wednesday. My son and I are back tonight though.

Another? Whoa, I can imagine how unnerving that must be. Can you invest in a chihuahua? They are small (easy to take care of) and don't pack much of a punch but they are one hell of an efficient alarm system.

I've got a little dog already. From now on even if my son spends the night at my parents my dog will be staying with me instead of going with my son.

That's crazy. Something like that happened to me 2 weeks ago. Some guy who lived 2 blocks away from my apartment was shot 12 times in broad daylight.

No, no other info has been released about that murder other than at this time they feel it's an isolated incident. However, one month before this a woman was found naked and beaten in a park not too far from this one by a dog walker and his young grandson. That woman survived so there wasn't much media coverage on it - until now.
