Anyone want to do a secret santa gift swap, org style? Its one way to meet people through the org.


If you want to be a part, you could email me (jthad1129@charter.net). Would have to send your name, org handle and address. If you can't give this, do not play. I will not keep these or use them in some weird fashion.

I would have to set a cut off date (like Nov.15?). Once all names are in, I will randomly pair up two people to exchange with each other. I will email you and tell you who you need to send a small gift too but you will not know who is sending you something. Once you get someones id and address you can't contact them. Keep it a secret. You can peek at their profile or posts to see if they are a nut or not.

We all have to agree that we might get someone out of the country so be aware of time and postage. Also people MUST be honest. I don't want someone to get a gift and the other person get NOTHING. Hold up your end of the deal.

We can set a limit like ($10-$15) or if anyone has another suggestion just email me. Around January we can all post about the items we received.

Despite the numerous problems I see arising from this (legal, interpersonal, etc.) I like this idea!

I did this with another chat community and about 50 participated last year. You really don't know anything about the person you are sending something to, so its more a reflection of you, but we had a blast listed all of the cool things people sent one another.
