For everything that I drink that is not water, I drink a glass of water behind it. Especially beer, wine or liquor!

I know entirely too many people on Dialysis and I'm not even trying to go there! Flush your kidneys people, you'll be glad that you did! nod
I knew from the start that I loved you with all my heart.

Thanks. That was just one of the things that contributed. She had a lot of other things wrong with her. She was very overweight (350 lbs.), she had fluid in her legs and when they drained it, she lost 100 pounds (down to 250), she had heart trouble and diabetes also.

I always tell people about drinking excessive amounts of water though because none of my family ever dreamed she was hurting herself when she was doing it. Once she became disoriented from the low sodium which was caused by drinking too much water, her brain would tell her she wasn't hungry and she wouldn't eat. We had to feed her like a baby because she had also forgotten how to eat. Since she wouldn't eat, she wouldn't get well no matter how hard they tried to raise her sodium.

You're welcome. It must have been horrible seeing your mom in that condition.
RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

Dialysis sounds terrible, from what people have told me. I don't want to go on dialysis or become diabetic, which is why I gave up Pepsi and all sugars.

Prolly 3 litres a day or so if we're talking just water on its own and not in other things. We buy 6 packs of 1.5 litre bottles and they only last 2 or 3 days at most.

I've been drinking about 3 liters of water a day too. I don't buy the water, I just fill it up from the faucet (saves money). giggle

I drink copious amounts of water when I'm in the UK staying with my parents because the tap water is so good (in the Cotswold hills), but unfortunately here even boiled tap water is not too good to drink. I boil my pasta in mineral water. lol

I don't blame you for using mineral water, especially if the tap water is not good. I would do the same. smile

It's quite cheap here though, of course. A good bottle of mineral water costs 35 cents for 1.5 litres and trustworthy drinking water's about 25 cents. smile

We just drink this, Minere. Perrier-Vittel bottle this up in the north of Thailand somewhere and it's very nice. $2 for a 6 pack. smile
