My Friends Want Me to Marry Them! I have two dear friends who are getting married July 27. The other day they call me to ask a "favor". Turns out their favor is to have me perform their marriage!! It appears that in California, anyone 18 or older can get deputized as a commissioner of civil marriages.
I immediately asked them if this was a joke or if this is an episode of Friends... they didn't laugh either. I agreed, and told them I was honored to do this! I'm excited! Now, I have to search the internet and find out exactly what I have to do to get this thing going... or turn to my fellow orgers: Who can help me with information on this?  |

A friend of mine did this as well. Got "ordained" online and married a couple of friends of ours. It's really sweet. |
