Where is life to take you next? Ever feel life has a destiny and or predestined course? Is said path of your affiliation and or personal interest or something you think you should do?
My life is dominated by prodigy affairs. My daughter starts college this fall and my son Jr high. Seems silly to have such separation but then again, I can handle both without loans I hope. Thus, inadvertently well planned. I can't say I am disappointed with my path. ( My children are such an unbelievable gift I'd be satisfied if they were my entire point.) None the less. It is their heartfelt wish that I count for something more.... in this case something grand. I am enrolled in college as a full time student as such. God has decreed that I'd be a Psychoanalyst but I decree I'd be found drooling on myself in a corner in time to come. What to do? I don't lack the IQ but the will... same as I did some 22 years ago..... ability given/heart deferred? Full time student/mother/career holder.. What am I supposed to do with the second half of my life? If I were practical, I'd study nursing.... a career knowing no end in this realm. If I were myself I'd study theology. I have vastly more to learn from such a venture. Although, said venture, likely wouldn't have financial help. Shead some light my way..... and you? Where is life to take you next? Do you know? : [Edited 6/10/08 1:25am]

No. Where is life to take you next?
While I agree with Woody Allen that luck plays a huge part in everyone's path, I would never say that life "takes" us anywhere. That implies that we have little control over our futures. But to answer what's at the heart of your question: I am happy as is, so I have no desire to make any major life changes. The Dude abides.

life is ultimatly ..oh somethings i dont have the time or vocabularly to expand on....
life is viewed as success or failure by soceity-we all adhere to soceital etiquette .....anyway musey babe please define a psychoanalysist? a psychiatrist is a doctor and a pscychologist is best described as a pretentious nurse but psychoanalysing? i digress and im no way bagging psychologists but it makes me laugh when joe public asks a psychologist the difference between the proffesions and the psychologist will always say"um its kind of difficult to explain" oh yeah? hes a doctor your not-simple! hes done medical school-you've done long distance learning! but karen id imagine you'd excell at anything however your far too sexy for certain careers i have just started a new job and my life is changing incredibly as is my mindset now if only i could stop losing socks

A woman I met many years ago worked with a popular music group. In a few years, she found herself being co-producer on a fairly successful album on which they appeared.
When asked how one had led to the other, she said that she kept being asked to work on projects that led her to that point. She said she hadn't planned it, that it just happened. Was talking to my dad about this on Sunday: I try to think about my "just happened" moments and how they factor into the Will I keep trying to discern. Every now and then, I get glimmers. In the short term, I guess I'll stay in my field. But, I'm not sure what part of the country. [Edited 6/10/08 5:04am]

Ex-Moderator | As you know, I'm a firm believer that life is what we (each one of us) makes of it.
I'm definitely looking into purchasing a home this year. Be it condo or house. I'm looking for a promotion/new job as well. And that's as far into the future as I can see. |

I'm just a long for the ride. I stop caring a few years back anyway. It isn't the load that breaks us down, it's the way we carry it.

She is an incredible singer, and has worked as session muso on number one singles in this country in the 90s, but one thing just led to a worse thing for her
