Culture Shock In Australia LOL There is a funny thing that happens here in Australia that concerns cussing...and I've found that people that move here from other countries, and tourists find it really hard to grasp.
When my husband first moved here From Texas and started working he often came home complaining that the guys at work were being buttholes and calling him names for no reason except they seemed to think it was funny 
ANd I found myself having to explain to him that its just the way some people in Australia speak.....for instance....he was being greeted with things like "Hey dickhead how's it goin?" and things to that effect, usually the person saying it was smiling at him. Now to alot of people that may seem rude, but its actually not, they were using it as a term of endearment. One of my sisters and her friend often call each other "slut"  "Hey slut...wtf are u doing?"
ANd a comedian ARJ Barker has another example of this in simple every day conversation And I have found that alot of people don't seem to get the Aussie sense of humor either....there have been plenty of times some of us Aussies on the org have offended someone without meaning to due our odd sense of humor.....we're a bad bunch PRINCE IS WATCHING U  " When an Artist Creates, whatever they create belongs to society"

well no, that guy was clearly pissed Pissed in the British sense or pissed in the American sense.....or both. This is getting all too confusing.
