I just know if I take E it'll be a bad trip.

The worst part of E is that it wasn't just a bad trip, but it messed with my body chemistry. So it affected my mood afterwards until my brain could slowly re-adjust.

Extacy isn't what makes you feel good, it's your own brain juices, and they can run out!

Same for coke though.

The effects of ecstacy last longer, way longer. Coke 20-30 minutes, ecstacy 4-6 hrs. As far as the feeling, x makes you feel al warm and fuzzy. It also stimulates your senses. Coke makes you more energetic and you feel like you're on top of the world, like you're the shit. lol

I dunno, it's just a different feeling. I prefer x. Don't like that cocaine drip and hate the runny nose.

This is really interesting. I've only tried weed... years ago... and it was pretty lame.

Question: If coke only gets you zooted for about 20-30 mins., how do so many people get addicted? Does it really feel that darned good? I mean, is it worth it for such a short high?

If you take in consideration there's millions of people using it every now and then, then I guess the percentage of people who get addicted is relatively low. Much lower than people who use crack, crystal meth or heroin.

The problem with these drugs is that the more frequent you use them, the more you need to use to get the same effects. Also when the effects have worn off, you're left with a not so pleasant feeling. Then the question is, are you strong enough to deal with it or are you weak and try to fight it by using more? You don't want to get caught in that vicious circle. You're more likely to get caught in that shit if you're using drugs because you're feeling bad and need something to cheer you up, so try not to do shit like that.

eikonomoklastes, if I may ask, what made you experiment with the drugs you did, and have you ever run into any problems with kicking the habit?

Pot, coke, acid, mushrooms. Nothing since my 20's.
There a trend locally, where Colorado river toads are used to get a liquid that is dried and smoked. It's a hallucinogenic. The dose can't be determined, and a friend's son took too much, and was hospitalized for a couple of weeks. sad
Can't anyone make blotter acid in their home lab, or anything??? What's with that? the younger generation.....

Not sure, but I guess I've always been curious. Availability has been an important factor too and seeing friends being able to use them without getting addicted or having other bad experiences played a big role as well.

I use them occassionally. Guess I don't really have the kind of personality to get addicted to things like drugs, gambling or even sex. I rather do drugs than drink a lot of alcohol. I hate hang overs.

ex jump started happy feelings in my brain that i had forgotten how to reach. it also provoked what were, at that time, some of the most honest conversations i ever had about myself and the relationships i was in. so it was great for me. then i used it too much and had some bad trips. then i didn't use it again. that was a few years ago. i wouldn't be afraid to do it again. though now i use prescribed anti-depressants.

Yeah, not a good idea to use X with an SSRI or MAOI.

I've never done coke, but one difference is that I don't believe E is physically addictive.

But like weed you can become psychologically addicted. Also they may mix addictive stuff like speed into E, so you never know.

since I've never done it I can't argue, but that's definitely not the common answer.

Anxiety

as to what i've done, i'm not gonna go into that online.

as to whether i have regrets, i will say that i don't have regrets. whenever i dabbled in anything, i was always around a group of close friends who i trusted, and i made sure that the night's plans were things that i felt comfortable doing in an altered state of mind. then, after a few experiences, i decided to quit before i ended up becoming one of those scary old drug burnout people you see at grateful dead shows. lol

this is the first time i did an online confession about "stuff i've done." i figure if the mayor of NY can talk about coke usage, i got nothing to hide. or protect.

and i didn't mention above that i don't have any regrets either and was also always in a safe place and with people I trusted. good point, thanks for the reminder.

yeah, i guess everyone has their personal comfort zone of what they are and aren't willing to divulge in a public online forum like this. i have no idea why i don't feel comfortable sharing such specifics - just my personal hangup, i guess. that, or i'm saving all the juicy stuff for my big tell-all autobiography. giggle
